Sarah W. Bass Aspe
Sarah Bass Aspe has an extensive background in the arts. An undergraduate degree BFA from the School of Visual Arts. Received MFA from Hunter College. Painting began early with her grandmother. Later Sarah continued painting with her mentor Marcy Paley Cohen who encouraged her to attend at the Art Student’s League. Sarah also worked with sculptor Joel Perlman who showed his work at Emerick Gallery in New York City. She’s achieved expertise in the production of waxes and casting sculptures in bronze and brass at the Sculpture Center School. Furthermore, she continued to maintain artistic pursuits while working in management. She also used her acumen for sculpture to design, fabricate, and install trees at the Bronx Zoo’s “Jungle World Exhibit”.
